The Hawai’i County Police Department, in partnership with the United States Marshals Service Hawai’i Task Force, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement – Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Department of Public Safety Sheriff Division, the Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE), and investigators from the Hawai’i County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, recently held a joint operation to arrest a number of wanted individuals.
The individuals arrested and charged for various offenses include:
Kiel Kawika Brende (38) of Keaau, was charged with:
- Violation of Parole Terms and Conditions
- Criminal Contempt of Court
He was held without bail pending his initial court appearance.
Derick Clayson Kaohuikaulunahele Camacho (21) of Captain Cook, was charged with:
- Grand Jury Indictment Warrant for the following offenses:
- First-degree Robbery
- Second-degree Burglary
- Second-degree theft
- Attempted Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle (UCPV)
- Two counts of Kidnapping
His bail was set at $250,000.00
Waylon Thomas (43) of Hilo, was charged with:
- Summons or Arrest of Defendant on Probation; Commitment without Bail
- Failure to Appear
His bail was set at $5,150.00
Matthew Logan Ryan (35) of Mountain View, was charged with:
- Two counts of Revocation, Modification of Probation Conditions (Probation Revocation)
His bail was set at $100,000.00
Pomaikai M.K. Martin (32) of Hilo, was charged with:
- Two counts of Violations of Conditions of Release on Bail, Recognizance, or Supervised Release (Violate RBL)
His bail was set at $10,000.00
Lavaun Francisco Broad (40) of Hilo, was charged with:
- Conditions of Release on Bail, Recognizance, or Supervised Release
His bail was set at $2000.00
Garrett Hughes (33) of Kurtistown, was charged with:
- Two counts Violations of Conditions of Release on Bail, Recognizance, or Supervised Release (Violate RBL).
His bail was set at $2000.00
Danisha Kapua’okaleianuinui Yagong (31) of Hilo, was charged with:
- Criminal Contempt of Court
Her bail was set at $1000.00
Jarrett Kupiialii McAtee Jr. (39) of Pahoa, was charged with:
- Criminal Contempt of Court
His bail was set at $1000.00
Cherish Anela Torres (20) of Pahoa, was charged with:
Her bail was set at $6,000.00
Kawai Keiori Kahee (23) of Pahoa, was charged with:
- Violation of Terms and Conditions During Deferment (DAG Violation)
Her bail was set at $2000.00
Marlene Hamilton (42) of Pahala, was charged with:
- Violations of Conditions of Release on Bail, Recognizance, or Supervised Release (Violate RBL)
Her bail was set at $10,000.00
Christian Earl Alameda (49) of Keaau, was charged with:
- Two counts of Violations of Conditions of Release on Bail, Recognizance, or Supervised Release (Violate RBL)
His bail was set at $4,000.00
Anthony Romero Gonsalves (39) of Mountain View, was arrested for:
- Ownership or Possession (firearm) Prohibited
He was released pending further investigation.
In addition to those listed above, during the operation, the following individuals who had also been sought by police were arrested:
Jake P. Branch (39) of Holualoa, was charged with:
- Five counts of Summons or Arrest of Defendant on Probation; Commitment without Bail
His bail was set at $75,000.00
Aaron Leighton Nobriga (47) of Mountain View, was charged with:
- Three counts of Discharge of Sureties
- Two counts Violations of Conditions of Release on Bail, Recognizance, or Supervised Release (Violate RBL)
His bail was set at $17,000.00
Andrew Amon (27) of Ocean View, was charged with:
- Criminal Contempt of Court
- Warrant of Arrest for second-degree Robbery
His bail was set at $5,500.00
