The Hawai‘i County Police Department’s recent “Badges and Buckets” fundraiser was deemed a success, raising a total of $20,000 for Special Olympics East Hawaiʻi.

Formerly known as “Cop on Top,” “Badges and Buckets”  is Special Olympics Hawai‘i’s  largest annual grassroots fundraiser. Held at Hilo Walmart from October 5, through October 7, the fundraiser featured off-duty officers, volunteers, and Special Olympics athletes raising awareness and collecting donations.

Special Olympics West Hawai‘i will be holding their “Badges and Buckets” fundraiser at the Kona Walmart Friday, November 10, through Sunday, November 12.
