Latest information on the PTA fire released yesterday afternoon revealed that approximately 300-500 acres had been burned while the fire 60 percent contained. There is still no danger to the surrounding communities.

PTA firefighters and Public Works continue efforts to apply wet lines and create firebreaks to manage the fire’s flow while 25th Infantry Division Army helicopters are supporting with bucket drops.

Firefighters are working closely with the PTA environmental section to identify and protect areas with natural and cultural items.

Further updates will be provided as they become available.
