This Thanksgiving, the Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division will hold a community-driven initiative aimed at providing 1,900 meals to Hawaiʻi Island residents.

Detailed information on the Thanksgiving luncheons can be found below:

HILO

• Total Meals Available: 600
• Date: Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023, at 11am-1pm
• Venue: Auntie Sally’s (799 Piilani St. Hilo, HI 96720)
• Meal Service Type: Sit-Down
• Additional Information: For those unable to attend, an additional grab n go meal service will be provided at 2:30pm, hosted by the Hilo Lions Club. This will take place at The Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corps parking lot located at 219 Ponahawai St.

KONA

• Total Meals Available: 800
• Date: Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023
• Venue: Jackie Rey’s Restaurant (75-5995 Kuakini HW Kailua-Kona)
• Meal Service Type:
  • Delivery to Senior Homes begins at 9am
  • Walk-up Grab N Go begins at 11am
• Additional Information: These meals are being provided through the generosity and partnership of Jackie Rey’s, Papa Kona’s Restaurant, and The Salvation Army Kona Corps Advisory Board Members.

HONOKAʻA:

• Total Meals Available: 500
• Date: Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023
• Meal Service Type: Home delivery of prepared meals by noon
• Additional Information: These prepared meals will be delivered in Waikoloa by Waikoloa Community Church, in Waimea by Imiola Church, and in Honoka’a by The Salvation Army Honoka’a Corps.
