45 year-old Dale Corbridge of Pāhoa was arrested and charged for an unauthorized entry into a dwelling incident that occurred in Kalapana last weekend.

Police reports indicate that Corbridge allegedly entered his neighbor’s residence, whom he is prohibited from having contact with pursuant to an active Injunction Against Harassment, while carrying a black Crosman C11 air pistol.

On November 13, Corbridge, who was in custody in lieu of $6,250.00 bail, made his initial Hilo District Court appearance where was granted supervised release over Prosecutors’
objections and ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing on November 27, 2023.

As the Complaint alleges, Corbridge was charged with Unauthorized Entry Into a Dwelling
in the Second Degree, Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree (knowingly possess any
dangerous drug, cocaine, in any amount), Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree
(knowingly possess any dangerous drug, methamphetamine, in any amount), Promoting a
Detrimental Drug in the Third Degree, and Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia.
Unauthorized Entry Into a Dwelling in the Second Degree and Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the
Third Degree are both class C felony offenses which carry a penalty of either five years in prison
or four years probation and up to twelve months in jail.

The case was handled by Officer Robert Kamau, of the Hawaiʻi County Police Department’s Puna Patrol.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Woodrow Pengelly.

The charges are merely allegations and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until
proven guilty.
