The Aloha Performing Arts Company Board of Directors announced the departure of Executive Director, Melissa Geiger.

Ms. Geiger, who will officially leave her position on December 31, was appointed in January 2015, having served as a performer, assistant director, and board member at the theatre since 2010.

In a press release Ms. Geiger said, “It has been an honor to serve the participants, volunteers and patrons of Aloha Theatre. It takes many hands to keep the theatre alive, my part has been but one contribution. I’m proud of the work we have done together and will miss witnessing the transformative power of theatre each and every day.”

Activities at the Aloha Theatre will continue under the guidance of Artistic Director Sara Athans and Education Director Roxanne Fox. Additionally, theatre staff are arranging concerts and film screenings into 2024.

The board of directors is currently working on the selection process for a successor.
