Three UH Hilo Vulcans landed on the 2023-24 All-Pacific West Conference Teams.

Kamalu Kamakawiwoole was named to the women’s basketball All-PacWest Second Team while Kalique Mitchell and Carlos Ramsey Jr. landed on the men’s basketball All-PacWest Second Team.

Kamakawiwoole and Ramsey Jr. are repeat honorees, having earned Third Team and Second Team distinctions, respectively, a season ago. Ramsey Jr. was also named 2022-23 PacWest Conference Newcomer of the Year and to the 2023-24 PacWest Preseason Team.

The Vulcans women’s team finished even at 13-13 overall and 10-10 in conference play to just narrowly miss out on qualifying for the six-team PacWest Championship postseason tournament.

Hawai’i Hilo Men’s Basketball went 18-11 overall and 12-8 in conference play, earning the No. 5 seed in this week’s PacWest Conference Tournament.
