On the afternoon of Saturday, March 30, South Kohala patrol officers and Hawai‘i County Fire Department (HFD) personnel responded to a Nani Waimea Street residence after receiving a report of a 78-year-old man who was unresponsive and pinned under a riding lawn mower. HFD medics determined that the man was deceased upon arrival. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
