Hilo Airport Runway Work Taking Place Next Week

Nighttime maintenance work on ITO runway 8/26  is scheduled to take place at Hilo International Airport (ITO) from 9pm to 5am on April 9, 10, 11 and 12.

During the closure, which is being done to ensure safety for all aircraft operations, runway 3/21 will be used for aircraft operations.

HDOT has scheduled the work at night to minimize impacts to air travelers and airline operations,.

If weather permits, maintenance may finish earlier than scheduled.
