More than 100 Hawai’i University of Hawai’i at Hilo student-athletes were recently honored at the 6th Annual Student-Athlete Academic Honors Reception in the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center Moanahoku Hall.

A total of 112 student-athletes have achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.

Baseball led with 29 honorees — Women’s Cross Country: 2, Men’s Basketball: 6, Women’s Basketball: 7, Men’s Golf: 7, Women’s Golf: 4, Men’s Soccer: 15, Women’s Soccer: 18, Softball: 7, Men’s Tennis: 4, Women’s Tennis: 3, Women’s Volleyball: 10.

Men’s Soccer’s David Mayser served as the scholar-athlete speaker and Kinesiology & Exercise Sciences professor Lincoln Gotshalk was recognized with the Faculty Appreciation Award.
