Yuka Saso wins 2024 U.S. Women’s Open, earning second major title

Yuka Saso won the U.S. Women’s Open champion for the second time on Sunday at Lancaster Country Club, becoming the first Filipino to win the Women’s Open in 2021, and the first from Japan.

The 22-year-old Saso rallied with a final-round 2-under 68, running off four birdies in a five-hole stretch on the back nine, to become the youngest two-time major champion in history,

Saso finished at 4-under 276, winning by three shots over Hinako Shibuno, who in 2019 became the first Japanese player to capture the Women’s British Open.
