Following numerous tips from the public, Hawai’i Island police identified the woman suspected of recently passing a counterfeit $100 bill at a Hilo business.

At this time, police believe the woman’s business unknowingly received the counterfeit bill as payment for goods, and that she is not responsible for producing any counterfeit U.S. Currency.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation can contact Detective Jenny Lee at (808) 961-2279 or via email at jenny.lee@hawaiicounty.gov.
