Prosecutors indicted 46 year old Shawn Michael Henriques of Honolulu on charges related to the sexual assault of a minor.

Last week, Henriques made his initial appearance in Kona Circuit Court where over Prosecutors’ objections, the Circuit Court judge reduced Henriques’ bail from $250,000.00 to $100,000.00 and ordered him to appear for jury trial on November 19, 2024.  Henriques was able to post bail.

As the Indictment alleges, Henriques is charged with Sexual Assault in the First Degree which is a class A felony offense and carries a maximum penalty of a twenty years in prison.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Chase Murray.
