Hawaiʻi County Police Department Communications Officer Leeann Tehero was recently named Dispatcher of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2024,

Tehero was honored for her impactful presence and positive influence on duty. Known to be a self-starter, Tehero can be counted on to complete detailed daily logs and records in a timely manner, troubleshoot systems errors on her own, all while handling her own call load. Of particular note was a busy call day at the beginning of October 2024, when Tehero handled three challenging calls simultaneously, calmly managing each situation.
