Hawaiʻi Island Lane Closures: Week of November 18

The Department of Transportation announced the following Hawaiʻi Island lane closures during the week of November 18, 2024. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

 

MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY  (ROUTE 11) 

PAHALA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 53 to 56, in the vicinity of Ninole Loop, on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 90 to 92, in the vicinity of Yee Hop Ranch Road, on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

HONAUNAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 97.2 to 104.7, in the vicinity of Haleili Road and the Filipino Clubhouse Road, on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for safety upgrades to the roadway.

 HAWAII BELT ROAD/KAWAIHAE ROAD (ROUTE 19) 

PEPEEKEO TO HONOMU

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 12 to 13, in the vicinity of Cane Road and Pua Lane on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

NINOLE

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 18 to 21, in the vicinity of Kaihuki road on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 

KEAAU-PAHOA BYPASS ROAD (ROUTE 130) 

PAHOA

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Bypass Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile post 8 to 10 on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD (ROUTE 139)

PAHOA

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 139) possible in either direction between mile post 1 to 1.18 in the vicinity of Keeau-Pahoa Bypass Road on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 190) 

KALAOA

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile post 33 to 35 in the vicinity of Old Government Road  and Onaona Drive, on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

   PUAINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) 

HILO

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, on Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving the roadway and doing shoulder work as part of the Puainako Street improvements Project.
