Hawai‘i Island police are requesting public assistance identifying a man who is a person of interest in a Pāhoa theft.

On October 23 2024, an unidentified man was observed on video surveillance walking around a Hawaiian Beaches subdivision residence. It was later discovered that an item was observed missing from the same area. This same man is a person of interest in a burglary investigation that occurred about a month earlier at the same residence.

The man is described as possibly being in his 30s, with a thin build, tan complexion, and dark colored hair. He was last seen wearing a camouflage pattern hooded jacket.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Zenas Pacheco at (808) 961-2289, or email Zenas.Pacheco@hawaiicounty.gov.
