The County of Hawaiʻi’s Department of Environmental Management announces upcoming annual closures of all solid waste facilities on the following holidays: 

• Wednesday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day

• Wednesday, Jan. 1, New Year’s Day

The public is asked to plan ahead and refrain from littering outside transfer station gates.
