The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory for West Facing Shores of North Kohala, South Kohala, North Kona, South Kona, Ka`u District(s) of Hawaiʻi Island from 6:00 am this morning through tomorrow night.

A High Surf Advisory means surf will be higher than normal. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.  Large breaking waves of up to ten feet are forecast.

Beach-goers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution when entering the water.
