Hawai’i Hilo Women’s Tennis was voted to finish No. 8 in the Pacific West Conference Preseason Coaches Poll released earlier this month.

The Vulcans are coming off an 11-9 season with a seventh-place finish at the PacWest Championships. Guilherme De Medeiros enters his first season as head coach.

Reigning champ Academy of Art was voted to the top spot followed closely by Azusa Pacific and Point Loma.

This year features 17 teams in the PacWest Conference all vying for 12 postseason tournament berths set to begin April 16 in Surprise, Arizona.

Hawai’i Hilo gets its season started Feb. 18-20 on O’ahu with matchups against Stanislaus State, Dallas Baptist and Chaminade.
