Police Seeking Missing Captain Cook Man

Hawaiʻi Island police are requesting public assistance in locating 25-year-old Kawika Makahanaloa of Captain Cook, who was reported missing on Saturday, May 10.

Makahanaloa who was last seen on the 78-6700 block of Makolea Street in Kailua-Kona on April 27, was wearing a black hat, black shirt and black pants. He is described as Hawaiian with a brown complexion, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 160 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact Kona Patrol Officer Keisan Tamura at the police departmentʻs non-emergency number (808) 935-3311 or via email at Keisan.Tamura@hawaiicounty.gov.
