Firework Permits Available Until 8 p.m. on July 4

Firework permits will be issued in Hawaiʻi County through 8 p.m. on Friday, July 4.

Each permit, which will be issued to persons 18 years of age or older, costs $25 and will enable the holder to purchase up to 5,000 individual firecrackers. Permits are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Permits and firecrackers may be exclusively purchased at the following locations:

• TNT Tent @ Safeway Parking Lot: 381 E. Makaala St., Hilo

• TNT Tent @ Walmart Parking Lot: 75-1015 Henry St., Kona

• TNT Tent @ Greenhouse Specialist Parking Lot: 16-711 Milo St., Keaʻau

Firecrackers (with a valid permit), and consumer firework(s) are allowed to be set off during the approved hours of 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on July 4 only.
