Yesterday, the Hawaiʻi County Fire Department welcomed the arrival of four new ambulances with a blessing conducted by Council Chair Dr. Holeka Goro Inaba.

The ambulances, funded by the State of Hawaiʻi, will be assigned to the Keaʻau, Pāhoa, Hawaiian Paradise Park, and Kailua Fire Stations. They replace existing emergency vehicles that have reached the end of their life.

In total, the four ambulances cost about $1.4 million dollars.
