The Hawai‘i Island Police Department is holding a free Keiki ID event at the Hilo Public Library this afternoon from noon to 2pm.

The event,  which marks the beginning of a partnership between the Police Department and the Hilo Public Library to host semi-regular gatherings, provides parents and guardians with the opportunity to obtain identification cards for their children.

The Keiki ID card includes the child’s photograph, fingerprint, and other vital information that may assist police in the event of an emergency.
