Public Invited to National Coffee with A Cop Day Events

To celebrate National Coffee With a Cop Day, and the Hawai‘i CountyPolice Department is hosting five events across Hawaiʻi Island.

During the events, which are scheduled to take place in Waimea, Honoka‘a, Kea‘au, Pāhoa, and Keauhou, the public will have the opportunity to get to know their law enforcement officers in a casual environment while enjoying refreshments.  Conversation topics can range from community issues to personal anecdotes.

National Coffee With a Cop Day began as part of National Community Policing Week in 2016 and now continues each year on the first Wednesday in October furthering efforts nationwide to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement.
