Kona Patrol Officer Sarha Reich owas honored as the November 2025 Officer of the Month by the Kona Crime Prevention Committee.

The recognition stems from her exceptional work during a May 2025 robbery and vehicle theft investigation. Reich responded swiftly, gathered detailed suspect and vehicle information, and helped lead to the arrest of one suspect and recovery of the stolen vehicle. Her thorough reporting enabled a search warrant and contributed to the suspect’s conviction.

Officer Reich, a graduate and class president of the 100th Recruit Class, has built a reputation for strong communication, teamwork, and composure under pressure. She is now eligible for consideration as 2026 Officer of the Year.
