Downtown Hilo will come alive this Saturday, January 17, for the 29th KWXX Hoʻolauleʻa, happening from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM. To keep everyone safe during this large community event, several road and parking closures will be in place throughout the weekend. These include early‑morning lane closures on Kamehameha Avenue, blocked makai and mauka parking lots beginning Friday evening, and additional lane restrictions on Haili, Kalākaua, Furneaux, and Waianuenue leading into Saturday afternoon. We encourage all attendees to plan ahead, review the road‑closure map, and allow extra time when traveling into the downtown area. Mahalo for your cooperation as we work to make this year’s Hoʻolauleʻa a safe and memorable celebration for our entire community
