The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the North and South Kohala, Ka`u, Hawaii Island Interior District(s) through tonight.

A Wind Advisory means sustained winds of at least 30mph and/or frequent gusts of at least 50mph are expected.

Due to the Wind Advisory, those in impacted areas should take necessary precautions which include preparing for power outages and driving with caution and being aware of debris, downed trees, and utility lines.
