The Hawaii Tourism Authority says incoming passenger arrivals by air continue to drop.

On Saturday, Mar. 28, 1,207 people arrived in Hawaii on the third day of the state’s 14-day mandatory self-quarantine for all incoming passengers. Of that number, 151 people were visitors, and most of the passengers were either returning residents or crew members. In comparison, during this same time last year, more than 30,000 passengers arrived in Hawaii daily, including residents and visitors.

On Saturday, Kona had a slight uptick in arrivals, from 45 on Friday to 56 on Saturday.  Most were residents, but a total of 12 visitors arrived, up from 5 on Friday.  Everybody coming into the state, whether residents or visitors, with the exception of airline crews, must  self-quarantine for 14 days.

This table shows the number of people who arrived by air on March 28th.
