The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has posted a Consumer Update, Coronavirus Testing Basics, to provide consumers with information about to provide information about the different types of tests available and the steps involved in obtaining results.

The document talks about both diagnostic tests for COVID-19, both the molecular (PCR) tests and the antigen tests, and the antibody tests, and give details about how the tests are taken and how long it takes to get results.
