Worldwide cases:  4,758,937     Worldwide deaths: 316,277

U.S. cases: 1,491,547    U.S. deaths:  89,666

Forecasters say the U.S. will reach 100,000 deaths by the beginning of June.   The number of cases reported in the U.S. between Sunday and Monday was 17,420, lower than the average of 20,000 from the previous week.  And the number of deaths increased by 768, lower than the 1200 average for the previous week.

In Hawaii, the cumulative case count stands at 640, with 67 cases still being monitored by State Department of Health.  Hawaii Island has added two cases in the last couple of days.  At least one is travel-related, with the person having returned from a California trip, according to Mayor Harry Kim.  There has been no additional information about the second new case, whether it is also travel-related or community spread, nor where on the island these cases were found.
