Kaua’i Mayor Derek Kawakami has received confirmation from Gov. David Ige that bars on the island may reopen, subject to certain COVID-19 safety precautions.

Mayor Kawakami also said that starting June  16, the date on which the interisland 14-day travel quarantine is lifted, Short Term Vacation Rentals on that island may reopen for people not subject to quarantine.  Travelers from out of state are still subject to a 14-day quarantine.
