The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard for Monday morning, July 27, at 7:00 a.m.:

Worldwide cases: 16,326,216    Worldwide deaths: 649,965

U.S. cases: 4,259,667   U.S. deaths: 147,103

According to the Dashboard, the reported worldwide cases increased by 208,908 in the last 24 hours, and 4,273 deaths due to COVID-19 were reported.

According to the Johns Hopkins Dashboard, the United States has added 49,745 cases in the last 24 hours, and reported deaths attributed to COVID-19 have increased by 381.  As a note, the last several weeks have shown slightly lower numbers on Mondays, indicating the possibility of a Sunday reporting lag–or just lower cases and deaths occurring in the 24 hours before Monday mornings around 7 a.m.

According to Worldometer, 2,101,307 people have recovered from COVID-19.  There are still more than 2.1 million people in the country with active cases.

CNN is reporting that several states seem to be seeing plateaus, especially Arizona, Texas, and Florida, three of the most recently hard-hit states.  Dr. Debra Birx was on the NBC Today Show saying that she is seeing a plateauing of cases in those three states plus California, even though case counts do remain high.
