The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard for Saturday, September 12, at 5:26 a.m.:

Worldwide cases: 28,545,999     Worldwide deaths: 916,670

U.S. cases: 6,452,607    U.S. deaths:  193,177

According to the Dashboard, the reported worldwide case report increased by 326,285 in the last 24 hours.  Deaths worldwide increased by  6,210.

According to the Johns Hopkins Dashboard, the United States has added 51,236 cases in the last 24 hours.  In that time,  the number of reported deaths from  COVID-19 increased by 1,335.

As of Friday afternoon, for Hawaii:

The State had 10,459 cumulative cases of COVID-19

The State had least 7,000 active cases of COVID-19

The Big Island had 562 cumulative cases of COVID-19, with 21 new on Friday

The Big Island had at least 290 active cases of COVID-19

The State was reporting 96 deaths, which includes only 3 of the Big Island’s 11 deaths.  Ten of those who died were residents at the Yukio Okutsu Veterans Home.

Friday evening, Lt. Governor Josh Green confirmed he has tested positive for COVID-19, and thinks he likely got it from one of his security detail with whom he rode in a vehicle for about an hour and a half earlier in the week.  Green has been leading many of the state’s efforts in fighting COVID-19.  He still works as an emergency room doctor at Kohala Hospital here on the Big Island, and did so last Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.   The hospital administrator, Gino Amar, said all places Green might have been were given extra cleaning, and on Friday Amar personally started notifying the 14 patients with whom Green was in close contact and is getting them tested, twice.  All staff have been tested.  More detail is here.
