Latest Global and National COVID Numbers, Arizona With Highest U.S. Infection Rates

As of 5:22 am on Monday, January 11, 2021, The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 dashboard lists the following data:
Global COVID-19 cases – 90,409,104
Global COVID-19 deaths – 1,936,898
U.S. COVID-19 Cases – 22,423,006
U.S. COVID-19 deaths – 374,442
The latest data shows that Arizona has the highest rate of coronavirus spread in the U.S. —and in the world.  Data from Johns Hopkins University put Arizona’s infection rate at 121.8 per 100,000 people. In comparison, California has recorded a rate of 97.1 new cases per 100,000 people over the past seven days. The U.S. average for new cases, according to the CDC, is 64.7 cases per 100,000 people.
