Department of Parks And Recreation Expands Swimming Pool Hours

Beginning February 2021, The Hawaiʻi County Department of Parks and Recreation is expanding island-wide swimming pool operations.

The following schedules take effect on February 1, except for the Kohala Swimming Pool, which will be effective February 8. A press release from the Department of Parks and Recreation states each pool will continue to offer 45- minute swim sessions for lap swimming only, on a first-come, first-served basis during the following time slots.

Kawamoto Pool – Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

KCAC – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. Thursdays – 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

Pāhoa Pool – Sunday thru Thursday 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

Konawaena Pool – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

Pāhala Pool – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

Kohala Pool – Monday thru Thursday 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.
