Hawaiʻi Island Police Looking for Hilo Bank Robber

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public for any information they may have in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a bank burglary in downtown Hilo on January 26, 2021.  South Hilo Patrol officers responded to an alarm at a bank on Kalakaua Street shortly after 11:30 p.m.  Responding officers determined that a bank window bank was shattered and the suspect(s) removed undisclosed items.

Police are asking anyone who may have information on this incident to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311, or contact Detective Blaine Morishita of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2385 or via email at blaine.morishita@hawaiicounty.gov. Information can also be directed to Lieutenant Rio Amon-Wilkins of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2252 or email rio.amon-wilkins@hawaiicounty.gov.
