Currently over 2,200 military personnel are deployed at community vaccination centers in California, New Jersey, Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina and the U.S. Virgin Islands. They are grouped into Type 1 teams of 222 service members, who can administer up to about 6,000 vaccinations per day, and Type 2 teams of 139 members, with about 3,000 vaccinations per day.
