Department of Health Reports 58 New COVID Cases Statewide

The Hawaiʻi COVID-19 Joint Information Center Daily News Digest for Wednesday, March 24, 2021 reports 58 new cases of coronavirus and 3 deaths.  This report includes cases up until Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.  Full data is posted on the State COVID-19 dashboard and on the DOH Disease Outbreak & Control Division website: hawaiicovid19.com/dashboard.

Total Cases  28,950

New Cases: 58

Deaths: 457

Current Hospitalizations: 41

Total Hospitalizations: 2,288

Average Daily Cases: 72

Positivity Rate: 1.4%

Fatality Rate: 1.6%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 897

The Department of Health reports 7 new cases of Coronavirus with no persons hospitalized on Hawaiʻi Island.

Deaths: 53

Current Hospitalizations: 0

Total Hospitalizations: 118

Average Daily Cases: 6

Positivity Rate: 0.9%

Fatality Rate: 2.2%
