Hawaiʻi Island Teens Place in the Top 10 in the National High School Rodeo Finals

Two Hawaiʻi Island teens placed top 10 in the NHSRA – shooting competition in Lincoln, Nebraska on Thursday, July 22, 2021.  Over 100 High School state shotgun finalists competed in world nationals.
Logan Kidani, a 12th grader from Parker School, ranked #6 in shotgun trap shooting while Brayden Okubo, a 12th grader from Kealakehe, ranked #8 in shotgun trap shooting.
The teens and their families traveled to Nebraska from Big Island and Maui.  Other team members in the rodeo events are from Big Island, Maui, O’ahu, Moloka’i and Kaua’i.
