33rd Annual Richardson Roughwater Swim Registration Closes at 4pm Today

Registration for the 33rd Annual Richardson Roughwater Swim will close on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 4pm.  The deadline for registration was decided upon due to the outpouring of registrants and to maintain public safety for the community. Registration may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Recreation Division Office located at 799 Pi’ilani Street in Hilo.

Swimmers will begin the race based on the following age groups:

Kupuna 80+ & Keiki10-14 –  8:00 a.m.

Seniors 65+ – 8:20 a.m.

Masters 50-64 – 8:40 a.m.

Adults 35-49 – 9:00 a.m.

Teens 15-19 &20-34 – 9:20 a.m.

Personnel will be on-site to prescreen all swimmers. Any swimmers who feel sick or have had symptoms or possible exposure to COVID-19 are urged to stay home and keep the community safe.

More information can be obtained by calling the Recreation Division Office at 961-8740 or by emailing aquatics@hawaiicounty.gov.
