HPD Renew 2017 Missing Person Information Request

Hawai‘i Island police are renewing their request for information regarding 73-year-old Glynda Evangelista of Hilo, who has not been seen or heard from by her family since April 2017.

Evangelista, who is described as as having a fair complexion and a medium build, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds, with short salt-and-pepper hair, hazel eyes, and wears prescription glasses. was last seen on Monday, April 24, 2017, on Kilauea Avenue in Hilo wearing a dark jacket and orange and yellow floral dress, carrying a blue backpack. She is considered endangered due to a medical condition that requires medication.

Police ask anyone with information about Evangelista’s disappearance and/or her whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Lieutenant Rio Amon-Wilkins or the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2252 or via email at Rio.Amon-Wilkins@hawaiicounty.gov.
