747 New COVID Cases Reported Statewide

The State Department of Health reports 747 new cases of coronavirus with 8 new COVID-19 related deaths.  The following data includes confirmed and probable cases up until Wednesday, September 8, 2021.  Full data is posted on the State COVID-19 dashboard and on the DOH Disease Outbreak & Control Division website: hawaiicovid19.com/dashboard.

 

 

 

 

STATEWIDE COVID-19 COUNTS:

Total Cases  70,320

New Cases: 747

Deaths: 641

Daily Case Average: 606

Current Hospitalizations: 404

Positivity Rate: 7%

Fatality Rate: .9%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 10,377

 

The DOH reports 140 new cases of coronavirus with no new COVID-19 related deaths on Hawaiʻi Island.

 

HAWAIʻI ISLAND COVID-19 COUNTS:

Total Cases: 8,682

New Cases: 140

Deaths: 63

Daily Case Average: 95

Current Hospitalizations: 51

Positivity Rate: 7.6%

Fatality Rate: .7%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 1,541

 

Kauaʻi

New COVID Cases: 43

Total COVID Case Count: 1,681

 

Maui

New COVID Cases: 102

Total COVID Case Count: 8,552

 

Oʻahu

New COVID Cases: 456

Total COVID Case Count: 49,172
