Hawai‘i Island police are asking the public to help them identify a vehicle in addition to three male suspects that were involved in a robbery that occurred within a parking lot of a business in the 74-5000 block of Makala Blvd in Kailua-Kona on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

A 19-year-old man reported that multiple unknown male suspect(s) removed his vehicle from the parking lot after a brief altercation. All three suspects are described as local males of unknown height and weight, two of them were wearing full face masks. One of the suspects followed victim’s stolen car as it left the scene. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a light colored four-door sedan.  The victim’s vehicle was later recovered in Puna, however the investigation is still ongoing and police are searching for the suspect’s vehicle, as well as the three suspects.

Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to contact Detective Sheldon Nakamoto, Area II Criminal Investigations Section, at (808) 326-4646 ext. 228, or via email atsheldon.nakamoto@hawaiicounty.gov.
