Department of Public Safety COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ.

The latest testing updates received for the correctional facilities are as follows:

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 152 inmate test results; 21 positive, 131 negative. One (1) employee has recovered.

Waiawa Correctional Facility – 162 inmate results; 15 positive, 147 negative. 1 employee has recovered.

Saguaro Correctional Center (Eloy, AZ) – 1 positive inmate test result. All inmate movement is suspended as mass testing is currently underway.

Hawaii Community Correctional Center – 1 positive inmate test result.

Halawa Correctional Facility – 1 positive staff test result, and 2 staff recoveries reported. 1 negative inmate test result.

Maui Community Correctional Center – 14 negative inmate test results. 30 negative staff test results. 3 employees have recovered.

Kauai Community Correctional Center – 4 negative inmate test results. 1 employee has recovered.

Women’s Community Correctional Center – 1 negative inmate test result.

COVID-19 updates for other PSD Divisions are as follows:

Sheriff Division – 1 positive employee test result. 4 employees have recovered.

There are no inmates or staff reported hospitalized. The Department of Public Safety (PSD) continues to encourage all staff and inmates to voluntarily get tested and receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
