Department of Public Safety: COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ.

The latest testing updates received for the correctional facilities are as follows:

Halawa Correctional Facility – 163 inmate test results; 67 positive, 96 negative. There were three 3 positive staff results and 1 staff recovery reported.

Hawaii Community Correctional Center – 14 inmate test results; 7 positive, 7 negative. 1 positive staff result reported and 2 staff recoveries.

Women’s Community Correctional Center – 21 inmate test results; 4 positive, 17 negative.

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 29 inmate test results; 2 positive, 27 negative. One previously reported positive inmate was released.  4 staff have recovered.

Kauai Community Correctional Center – 14 inmate test results; 2 positive, 12 negative.  There were 2 positive staff test results reported.

Maui Community Correctional Center – 3 negative inmate test results. 37 inmates have recovered.

Waiawa Correctional Facility – 5 inmate recoveries reported.

Kulani Correctional Facility – 2 inmate recoveries reported. The inmate population is clear of all active COVID-19 cases. 16 negative staff test results.  5 staff recoveries reported.  1 remaining employee is out due to COVID.

COVID-19 updates for other PSD Divisions are as follows:

Sheriff Division – 1 positive staff test result reported and 1 staff recovery.

Administration Division – 2 staff recoveries reported.
