Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area Closed This Morning

The Hawaiʻi County Department of Parks and Recreation announced that the Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area (formerly Mauna Kea Recreation Area) will be closed on Tuesday, February 8, from 4:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for vector control operations.

The County reminds the community that public restrooms and park amenities will not be available during this time.
