Department of Public Safety COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ.

The latest testing updates received for the correctional facilities are as follows:

Maui Community Correctional Center – 44 inmate test results; 2 positive, 42 negative. 1 inmate has recovered. 14 negative staff test results reported.

Kauaʻi Community Correctional Center – 2 inmate test results; 1 positive, 1 negative. 23 inmates have recovered.

Oʻahu Community Correctional Center – 1 positive staff test result reported. 1 negative inmate test result. 77 inmates have recovered.

Hawaiʻi Community Correctional Center – 1 positive staff test result and 4 staff recoveries reported. 11 inmates have recovered.

Halawa Correctional Facility – 41 inmates have recovered.

Women’s Community Correctional Center – 4 inmates have recovered.

The Department of Public Safety (PSD) continues to encourage all staff and inmates to voluntarily get tested and receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
