Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public to help them locate 42-year-old Sham Freitas of Ka‘ū, who is wanted on several outstanding bench warrants and for questioning in connection with other criminal investigations.

Freitas is described as having black hair and brown eyes while standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds.  He is known to frequent Nā‘ālehu and the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision.

The Hawai‘i Police Department is reminding the public that harboring or concealing a wanted person could result in criminal charges being filed against the person who harbored or concealed the wanted person.

Anyone with information on Freitas’ whereabouts is encouraged to contact Detective Donovan Kohara at (808) 326-4646 ext. 267, or via email at donovan.kohara@hawaiicounty.gov.
