“Coffee With a Cop” Taking Place in Waimea This Morning

The Hawai‘i County Police Department’s South Kohala Community Policing Section is inviting residents to participate in this month’s residents “Coffee with a Cop”event taking place on Wednesday, April 27 from 9am to 11am. at Waimea Coffee Company located at 65-1279 Kawaihae Road.

“Coffee With a Cop” events allow the public to engage with law enforcement officers in a casual environment.  Topics of discussion can range from community issues to the sharing of personal anecdotes over a cup of coffee.

This month’s event falls during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Officers will have resource information available on both topics at this event.
