At the direction of President Joe Biden and on behalf of Gov. David Ige, who is in Japan on state business, Acting Governor Josh Green has ordered the United States flag and the Hawai‘i state flag to be flown at half-staff as a mark of respect for the one million Americans who have died of COVID-19.

The half-staff flags will be flown at the Hawaiʻi State Capitol and all state offices and agencies as well as the Hawai‘i National Guard in the State of Hawai‘i, now until the evening of Monday, May 16, 2022.
